It’s our first blog here guys!!! Here’s a brief intro of who we are and what to expect before we get to business.
TeamPeni is a team of amazing minds who are set to solve people’s lack of proper financial management through PENI. Intriguing right?
I guess you’ll be wondering what PENI is, relaxxx.😌
Well, we have in the team; Mobile app developers, Product Designers, Data Analysts, MS Office Specialist, Product Managers, Customer Relationship Managers, Digital Marketers, Quality Assurance Analyst, Graphic Designers, Video Animators, Devops engineers and Frontend experts. (Literally the whole village, lol).
Below is a flyer of some group members, we will be updating the pictures in subsequent posts. Meanwhile, we used to go by Startup-24 but now TeamPeni.
Now, what is PENI?
PENI is a mobile app that will help users manage their money, set up a budget, track their spending and get advice from financial experts. (This is our vision, you can edit on other platforms)
Our Mission is to provide quality financial information and a platform where everyone can be truly accountable to themselves and reach their financial goals.
Seems that covers a bit about PENI, you will get to know more in subsequent posts. Let’s dive right into why we are here.
PROGRESS REPORT (WEEK 1) On receiving our project brief on the 5th of JUNE with team leads and assistant assigned, we got to work.
Our first task as a team was to come up with a name and also get sub-team leads from all the tracks. Let me not bore you with how that went but of course, you need to know how we got how we came up with our name.
Looking through various suggestions, we settled with PENI which was coined from the original world, Penny; a unit of a currency which we agreed fits perfectly for this mobile app.
And our tagline is - every penny counts!
Once that was settled we set to work, to ensure our assumptions about the need for our product is true, the Product Design team came up with a user survey and we got the responses that were in affirmation with our assumptions…
The Data Analytics and MS Office Team went on to analyze the data.
88% of our respondents would like to manage their finances by budgeting, 80.9% would like to get financial advice and 95% of the respondents would love to have an app that will help them budget, track their finances and get advice from personal finance experts.
To bring this to you sooner, the Product Manager created the products PRD and the user-flow below. The user-flow gives the breakdown of how our users will navigate through our app, manage their finance and get help from a financial expert.
While these were going on, the Graphic Designer came up with a logo for the product and brand-guide which will guide our contents and design system.
The Digital Marketers and Content creators are working extensively to bring all this information to your timeline. They have created the social media pages, batches and our content alongside our Video Animator (links will be shared soon).
And here’s our landing page created by our Front-end developers. We have a newsletter there so you can be the first to get information about our product. The CRM Team has put up some questions for our FAQs to help you understand our product better.
The QA Analysts have tested every point of our user-flow, the Mobile App developers are working extensively on the user authentication and the Devon Engineers are creating our ERD.
